I have a 2017 Escalade Luxury and we took it to the Service Dept 3 times because of the transmission. There is a delay in the acceleration and also feels like it always a vibration under the driver side when driving. The dealership keeps saying ohh there’s nothing wrong but keep in mind this was at 40k miles. Escalades look nice but at the price you pay that truck should drive like you floating on clouds.

I really like the new Escalade color and the tint. The two of you have a better sense of color combination than the people at GM. All they know is black, white and red exterior color… they are everywhere. Unless it was a camera effect… when close to the tint one can see inside a little better than being backed away 5-8 feet. Hopefully this satisfies local law enforcement and they will find something a little better to focus their time on other than car window tinting. All window tint law needs to be abolished or made a secondary offense which means tinting can not be the primary reason for the stop. I'm happy to learn nothing weird happened to cause Mrs. Donslife to be apprehensive about being seen in public… other than driving a really nice ride… 🤣🤣 That's what happens when you drive a cool ride. In any event it’s a wise choice to protect one's privacy and safety.

Cops must be strict on tint in Canada because here in NC 35% is the legal limit but everyone gets away with 5% because police man probably have it on their personal cars too.

You are correct, a attractive Woman driving alone in today's Wild Wild World can be a concern. If Tinting will give her a more secure feel, go for it. And she is a very Pretty Lady. Window Tinting can have affect at night time driving, it does require more attention of objects and headlights. Many like to have the Windshield "Brow" Tinted to save the Sun's glare. I hope everyone be careful in this endeavor.

Them Canadian tint laws crazy, buddy I’m running double 5 all around here in Texas , cops don’t fw me either 😹😹. Area dependent but man to me even 5% is tooo light for me

I’m installing a dash cam in my 2023 Silverado and will be using the micro 3 fuse tap. On the passenger fuse box the only fuse that’s not constant is F26. That fuse is a 10 amp. My dash cam came with a 15 amp fuse. Would it be safe to have a 15 amp added to the existing 10 amp fuse? Please advise asap 🙏

Think you should have tinted the windshield. I normally don’t but did yesterday and love it. 35% just to protect the dash.

I could try to explain it to you but if youre not a mechanic you wouldnt understand why deactivating dfm will absolutely prolong if not completely prevent lifter failure dfm lifters have 2 seperate oil passages its hard to explain but basically the part of the lifter that allows it intentionally to collapse to deactivate it by deactivating it you arent working that part of the lifter which means again you greatly reduce if not eliminate possible failure people really dont understand how they actually work and the best thing you can do if youre not going to do it the right way and do a full mechanical delete then you atleast need to get a tune that completely deactivates it

This video does assume you have a 10 speed transmission. My 2018 Silverado has a 6 speed, so for me it's L5. He is absolutely correct that putting the shifter on L then one gear down from the top gear disables DFM. For the 2018, it was still called AFM (Active Fuel Management). And the differrence in the mileage per gallon I'm getting is negligible, at least up to around 65 mph or so. The RPM's run a little higher than they would on that 6th gear, or 10th gear in the case of a 10 speed transmission, but not too much higher. My plan is to get one of those dongles that get plugged into your ODB2 port that disables AFM/DFM, that way I can have the shifter on 'D' and run on that top gear at higher speeds to raise my MPG's a little bit.
